Motorola's three core business activities are centred on mobile data management systems, wireless technology (WLAN, GSM/GPRS) and barcode scanning (data capture). Together with its business partners, Motorola provides mobile solutions for multiple industries, including: Field Service, T&L, Postal, Retail, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Energy Utilities and Hospitality. Currently, approximately 12 million Motorola barcode scanners, mobile computers and more than 130,000 wireless networks are utilized globally. Sigmax is accredited with Microsoft Mobility Solutions Competency. This certification is given to organizations that have proven their expertise in developing solutions and applications for Windows Mobile-based platforms. Sigmax is one of a select few ICT companies in the Netherlands that has met Microsoft's stringent requirements. To achieve this accreditation, not only have Sigmax's Microsoft certified developers had to prove their theoretical skills, but a number of applications developed by Sigmax's Law Enforcement division were also submitted to Microsoft in order to assess their effectiveness.
