Sigmax developed MobilePolice for the law enforcement tasks of the police. MobilePolice has been developed in close cooperation with various police departments in the Netherlands. Especially for the traffic teams, MobilePolice contains a menu with common traffic offences to quickly navigate through misdemeanors concerning seat belt use, red light violations, drunk driving, speed violations and use of mobile telephones. With the module ‘traffic signs’, an officer can quickly identify the relevant offence by clicking on the traffic sign on the display. MobilePolice: a technological masterpieceMobilePolice uses the newest technologies, such as 1) capturing GPS data during a chase to later identify when and where the offence has been commited, 2) license plate recognition and connection to the vehicle registration office to quickly complete vehicle data, 3) mobile data exchange via GPRS so that issued tickets are immediately known at the police station. MobilePolice: prepared for the futureMobilePolice is prepared adapt to changing law enforcement duties of the police. Should laws change, Sigmax immediately sends out an software update to all users with the newest laws and fine tariffs.
