New Android smart card reader and mobile software for NS staff
NS is replacing its current mobile solution for OV-chipkaart service and inspection equipment. In the tender process, Sigmax’s solution received the highest evaluation.
The selected solution consists of a mobile Android smart card reader combined with mobile smart card software. This enables NS staff to consult OV-chipkaart information so they can provide passengers with the best possible assistance. In addition, NS staff with inspection duties will soon be able to read travel documents and check OV-chipkaarten and barcode e-tickets.
Sigmax will be responsible for the setup, delivery, and management of the new equipment and the associated application. NS will roll out the new equipment in 2016.
