Quality and high service level; characteristics that perfectly describe Motrac, the total provider of internal logistics solutions and, in Belgium, also of cleaning solutions. To successfully carry out repairs, maintenance, and inspections, the 240 service employees of Motrac Intern Transport in the Netherlands and Motrac nv in Belgium utilize Sigmax Connect: the field service software from Sigmax. Since 2013, Motrac and Sigmax have been collaborating, and over the past 11 years, this has resulted in a stable solution for the entire field service.
With four locations in the Netherlands and three in Belgium, Motrac is a leading total provider of internal logistics solutions such as forklifts, reach trucks, and (automated) order pickers. Technical specialist software support, Marco De Juncker, explains: “Nine years ago, we opted for the combination of ORTEC‘s planning software and Sigmax’s field service solution for our entire field service. I have been involved since the implementation of both solutions and am still happy with this choice.”
Motrac’s technicians register their worked hours in Sigmax Connect every day. Thanks to the custom-configured time registration, the invoicing process has been simplified: “We use different codes for registering malfunctions, service, and maintenance. Technicians can assign codes to their activities themselves, ensuring that all worked hours are invoiced correctly.”
If a Motrac repair is covered by warranty, it can be added to the work order in Sigmax Connect. This allows for direct invoicing to suppliers for the work performed. “This automatic linkage has also contributed to an optimized invoicing process,” says Marco De Juncker.
Motrac’s technicians work with Sigmax Connect in both the Netherlands and Belgium. Sigmax’s standard software has been custom-configured for both countries to accommodate specific processes. An example of this is the annual BMWT inspections in the Netherlands, which ensure the quality of periodic safety inspections on work equipment. The inspections are carried out by Motrac’s field service employees.
Marco continues: “Forklifts must be inspected annually according to Dutch labor regulations, and the inspection process is fully configured in the standard software.” The guidelines for this vary between the two countries. We have been able to configure this inspection process in the standard software for both the Netherlands and Belgium, taking into account the differences between them.
Even after eleven years, Marco De Juncker remains satisfied with Sigmax’s field service software. “Sigmax Connect is a stable solution, allowing technicians to do their work almost always.”
